My life has been enriched by your friendship Bobby, from sharing your childhood stories, swapping navy days, the love of sailing, the love of your family, and special friends, your smile and that laughter that was one of a kind. I thank you my friend, for supporting me in anything I did, I thank you for the many talks, and sharing your life with us. Im honored to say I knew the man behind the exterior..I will hold onto the fatherly words of wisdom, your believing in me and cherish them until we meet again.Love and Respect Always Special Thanks to Reese Lloyd for making this page possible.
Bob Castillo was someone I was very proud to know. He had knowledge about the American Legion that he shared from his heart to anyone who listened. His loyalty to those he loved was unmeasurable. He loved the legion and those who were part of making it great for past and future vets, the true heroes of our country. The last thing he said to me was hello gorgeous if I ever hear of you texting and driving again ( thanks Jody)lol Ill turn you over my knee....I wont I promise....He adored and was very proud of his friend Rod Piazza and always so happy so happy when he played for him at his post. He would tell me about the song that they played that was just for him....I loved him and will miss him dearly...He will always hold a special place in my heart...With love, Bobbi
To: The Family of Bobby Dale Castillo:
I often tell young people that America has no kings or queens, dukes or duchesses, but we do have a nobility, America's nobility is our veterans. We have never had a more noble warrior than Bobby. I value my time with him and hold him and his family in my prayers. Pat Brady.
(Note: "Pat Brady" is Major General Patrick H. Brady (USA, ret.), Medal of Honor (Vietnam), regarded as America's most decorated living veteran. He e-mailed this to me to convey to the Castillo family and post in the guest book.-Rees Lloyd)
