slim was a friend when friends were hard to find, ill miss ya buddy and condolences to the family

Here's a prayer for a Memorable Cowboy, his wife Donna, and family, who I have been blessed to call friends.
We ask Lord, that you will help us live our lives here on earth as cowboys, in such a manner, that when we make that last inevitable ride, to the country up there, where the grass grows lush, green, and stirrup high, and the water runs cool, clear, and deep, that you'll take us by the hand and say -
"Welcome to Heaven cowboy, your entry fees are paid."

My heart breaks. My start to horses was with Slim and Donna. I had interviewed Slim back around 1982 for a school report on quarter horses ( I was eleven years old). The following year I went to work for them. He was the definition of cowboy to me. My prayers go out to the family, especially Donna.
