I have fond memories of Larry and I playing guitar at family sit down gatherings and learning a thing or two from Larry. He was patient trying to teach me songs and he was also patient when I was trying to teach him something he already knew. He was a very gentle man and although these memories are maybe 30 years old I cherish these memories and always will. My heart goes out to all of the Bowes Family and to all of his friends. I know he had a lot of friends and that just proves what kind of person Larry was... a friend to all who met him. He will be missed.

My first memory of Larry was at a party my parents threw in my honor and the Bowes family were there...it was 1972! While all us kids sat on the kitchen floor mimicking our parents play a drinking game, somehow Larry got loaded on koolaid!!! And then there were the bbq's, pool parties, and the Bus rides. I even remember the first time I heard Larry pick on the guitar. From now on, when I pick on mine, I'll think of him pickin' and singin' Red River Valley.
For those left behind wondering why, know that God does not discriminate. He knew Larry's mission on earth was complete. To all who knew and loved him, know that now he is R.I.P. Simply put...Rejoicing In Paradise.
Christ's peace and blessings always...
