CRUZ HELEN TAPIA Age 70, of Menifee Ca, passed away Sept. 29, 2013, while on vacation in Mexico. She is survived by her husband John Tapia. Born in Texas, raised in Los Angeles, she attended Catholic School from K-12th. She became a notary public, and had a Contractors & Real Estate license. Once employed by Pinkerton Security she worked the Oscars Red Carpet and was also the first woman to carry a firearm as a security guard. Helen is also survived by daughter Cruz Holguin (husband Adam); sons Alex (wife Anabell), Louis (wife Elvia) and Miguel Monreal; 13 grandchildren; 6 great-grand-children; stepson Art Tapia (wife Grace). Services will be held at Acheson & Graham in Riverside Oct. 10th from 9:30 -11:30am, burial immediately following at the Olivewood Cemetery.
