Our thoughts are with the family at this time of your wonderful "Katherine's" loss. She was a great lady. It was always a joy to visit with her in town activities and this community was surely blessed by the Parker's. Gary & Donna Miller
I grin while I say that back in the old days it hard hard sometimes figuring out who was putting up with who when doing business at the Map Shop with Charlie Parker, all due respect intended. Since those days I have resisted printing charts online because the opportunity to come in and interact with & enjoy a visit with Katherine was just too tempting. A fine lady indeed. Our community is a bit less now for a short time because Katherine Parker made it more for a long time. My condolences to her family.
Pattey, My heart goes out to you and your family. If a family in Soldotna that makes me remember the "good ole days" it was yours, and your dog "pal"
May Jehovah, by means of Jesus , reunite her with her loving family.
What a wonderful lady your mother and grandmother was; a pioneer in our community and a pioneer for women everywhere. We're so glad we knew her. Our love and warm thoughts to you all, Frank & Teresa Fahning
A great lady who contributed to her community tremendously. She will be missed. Our love and warm thoughts to her family. Frank & Teresa Fahning
Your mother was always a woman who showed great independence in all that she did. Both she and her husband were very principled and honorable individuals, I am certain they will both be sorely missed not only by their family, but also their community.
I'm sorry for the loss of your mother and grandmother. I enjoyed working with her in the Historical Society and listening to the stories she was willing to share. She contributed so much to the growth and character of the City of Soldotna with the donation of land for the Parker Park, the Soldotna Senior Center and her assistance in making the Memorial Cemetery a reality. I always looked forward to seeing her there for lunch. She had many stories to tell of the early days and they will be missed by those of us who value the past.

It was truly an honor to know Katherine as our paths crossed many times. She was a loving, beautiful individual and her passing is a loss to Soldotna.
Kathereine was a wonderful lady and someone I will never forget. She was always gracious, happy and willing to give her time in support of her community and friends. As I drive by the Map Shop I will always think of Katherine. Best wishes to the family during this difficult time.
Our sympathies to the family. We knew Katherine from her attendance at so many concerts. I first got to know her when Patty was a piano student ages ago. She was a beautiful woman and spirit. It is sad to lose one of our original homesteaders in our community. Hugs, Maria and Tom Allison
Pattey and family, our condolences from everyone at Alaska Leather. Your mom was a beautiful lady. Barb
Best wishes to all the Parkers at this time of great loss. We had a nice time with Catherine this summer, she bought us lunch and we had a laugh about her being a Republican..."Democrats are generous and the rest of us aren't, it's true," she said with a twinkle. She had great interest in all things, and enjoyed talking about books and writers. She was always kind. xxxx
My condolences to the family. Katherine was always a delight to deal with, whether it was local politics or local theater. It's sad to see another of the original characters from the old days pass on.
