Nancy Reasoner Obituary

Nancy Lee Reasoner, born February 15, 1938 to Theordore and Gladys Northcutt in Concord, California, passed away Sunday, August 19, 2018. She was recently diagnosed as having liver and lung cancer and passed quietly surrounded by her family at Jefferson County Hospital.

Nancy married Robert (Bob) Reasoner on September 7th, 1974 and they shared six children between them; Sharon (Ed) Giampapa, Wendy Baldwin, Ann Baldwin, Kathryn Reasoner, David Reasoner, and Bruce (Joy) Reasoner. They were blessed with three grandsons: Frankie Giampapa, Ryan Reasoner and Robert Reasoner.

Nancy served as a school secretary in Concord and Portola Valley in California. She loved being with children and school staff. She also spent six years as a seminar and conference coordinator for the resort at Pajaro Dunes on Monterey Bay. She and Bob retired in Port Ludlow, WA in 1992 where they enjoyed participating in the activities of the communities of Port Ludlow and Port Townsend.

Nancy was known for her friendly nature and sense of humor that made everyone she met feel comfortable. She made friends for life and many have been her friend since childhood. She was an inspiration to others for her deep faith and her willingness to volunteer wherever there was a need. As a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Port Townsend she served as Fellowship Chairman for three years, served as a Deacon and as a member of the Nominating Committee. She was one of the founders of ECHHO (Ecumenical Christian Helping Hands Organization) which provides medical equipment free of charge to thousands of Jefferson County residents. In Port Ludlow she was a member of the Bluebills, a volunteer organization and the Ladies and Couples Nine Hole Golf.

Nancy especially enjoyed cooking and gardening and was known as an amazing hostess. She was a woman known for her kindness, wit, and devotion to family and friends. Her deep spiritual faith carried her through her brief illness without pain. She will be deeply missed by all who loved her and were fortunate to have known her.
