One of the last of the "old school"- players who carved out a whole career with one club. Or should I say one bat, one mighty bat. As a Red Sox fan, I should have disliked him, but I couldn't. His actions on and off the field showed that Stan was not just "The Man" but "The Gentleman" as well.

Rest in Peace, Stan.

Dziekujemy!

A great and honorable man. One who would show the world what a real sports hero was not only during his professional career, but in his personal lifestyle. "Stan The Man" will always be remember and loved by all.

It won't be the same not seeing you ride around the stadium on Opening Day Stan. That's okay though, you'll be in the heart of every single member of Cardinal Nation and in the hearts of baseball's most dedicated fans. You've left an impeccable legacy on baseball and on the city of St. Louis! R.I.P Stan! Don't forget about us down here.

I remember trick-or treating at the Musial home in the late
1950's, Stan and Lily would be at the front door to give out autographed balls and pictures. We will never see a more
genuinely great person in sport again.
