Dear Manning Family,

It is with my deepest sympathies and a heavy heart that I write this. Dr. Manning was a good friend and we had such a good friendship from the time I met and work with him. Soon after I met Ms. Pat and I understood the union was God blessed. The two of you just complimented each other. Always smiling and laughing. Please know you and the family are in my prayers during this time of sorrow.

To the Manning's,
The Rev Dr. was one the finest men I knew. His heart always was in the right place. He was a strong and determine leader. God Bless your Family

Dear Manning Family,
I am deeply saddened by the news of the passing of my friend, mentor, colleague, neighbor and confidant, Rev. Dr. Bernie Manning. I consider myself fortunate to have worked with Dr. Manning during his tenure in Woodland Hills and Pittsburgh School Districts. After his retirement and return to the Harrisburg/Reading area, I continued to profit from his great wisdom and intellect through occasional phone calls or visits. He was an uncompromising advocate for those less fortunate and one of the most fundamentally ethical persons I've ever known.
Please accept my sincere condolences; I thank you for sharing this beloved patriarch/educator/man of God with us. He will continue to live through the many students and colleagues whose lives were touched by him.

Prayers to his wife and family. He blessed our souls for our Mens Day celebration at New Mt. Moriah Missionary, Detroit, MI. May God comfort and keep you.
