To my cousins BJ, Dawn, Jamie, And Troy. My aunt Cetta. I am sorry I cannot be there at Uncle Billy Ray funeral tomorrow, know that if I still lived in Harrisburg I would be there to say my last good bye. I am going to miss Uncle Billy Ray..I have nothing but fond memories of him. Most of all hanging out at his house, throwing cookouts and chilling with the family. I am deeply sad to know that he is no longer here with us in the natural realm. It does make me smile that he is with us in the spiritual realm an angel.
I was just thinking about you on Super Bowl Sunday wondering how you are doing, then days later I got the bad news.i know I'm rambling but I mean well, I am going to miss you and your cooking (the best cook) I love you Uncle Billy Ray you was always very kind to me and my family (granison) my family were all sad about your passing .you left us too soon. Thank you for all the fun, memories and joy you brought in everyone lives.
To my cousins and Aunt Cetta..my prayers and thoughts are with you guys. I pray that you guys are comfort and know that Uncle Billy Ray left a great impact on the brooks family and for that he will never be forgotten.
Cousin BJ hang in there I am praying for you.
We love y'all

Dear Family,
Our deepest condolences. The loss of Billy Ray is felt by many. Though there are no adequate words to express sympathy, know that your sorrow is shared by those who knew and loved Billy Ray as much as you did.
We pray that our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ will be your source of strength as you bid your final farewell on Friday.
Though there are tears today, rejoice in knowing that Billy Ray is walking around Heaven with Jesus, because the Bible clearly states to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.
Billy Ray touched each of you in his own special way; may those precious memories sustain you in the days ahead. Know that you shall be united with Billy Ray, when your earthly journey comes to its end until then, lean on our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and not your own understanding; Billy Ray's earthly journey was over in the Lord's time and not yours!
You shall remain in our continued prayers.
Yours In Christ, Frances (Brown) Penn and
Chloe (Brown) Appleberry

To the family--
I remember Billy Ray and all of us playing on South 4th Street. The street dances my grandmom Maggie Slade had and the fun times we had. Psalm 23 sums it all up. Take God at his promises that he will never leave or forsake you especially in times like this. Hold on to each other as family and remember to keep his legacy alive. If you know the story of the caterpillar and his changing into a beautiful butterfly, just see him as one of those butterflies. You all are in my family's prayers. May God keep you and strengthen you and give you peace.
