My sympathy to Irene and family. I worked at Scooperman's Ice Cream Parlor and Dave was my boss. I remember him making lamps in the back and Irene coming in and helping in any way she could. He was a wonderful, kind person. Please know that I am thinking of you.

Dear Berner Family,

My sincere sympathy to your family, I remember Mr. Berner as a kind, caring, happy man and I was blessed as a 16 year old girl to have him and his family as my first boss. I have fond memories of Scooperman's Ice Cream Parlor. I always appreciated your family, I remember all the jelly or candy from Florida and can still see Mrs. Berner rolling up her sleeves all dressed up washing dishes. I manage employees now as a pharmacist and I want you to know how I was treated at 16 is how I treat my staff now. You all made a tremendous impact on my life and please know I have the utmost respect for your family. Thank you for all your kindness and I still wear my gold locket with an ice cream cone engraved on the back that you gave me as a graduation gift (my daughter thinks it is awesome and she worked in an ice cream parlor too)! I will continue to pray to our God to comfort you and bring peace to your hearts.
With sincere sympathy, and fondly remembered,
Lisa Acri Miller

As the magnolia tree flowers in your former home's backyard, we think of the times that you must have seen it's beauty. Byron and I were happy to have you and Irene and earlier Mike as our neighbors for 47 years. We thank you for all the wonderful conversations and friendly visits. We were sad when you moved to Las Vegas. Thanks for keeping in touch via email and phone. We were sorry to hear of your death. Our sympathies to your family in this time of grief. May they remember the happy times when they think of you. Sandra and Byron Mock, Middletown, PA
