Eleanor R. Buss, 81, of Harrisburg, passed away on Sunday, August 30, 2015.
Eleanor was born in Hartleton, PA, on September 18, 1933 and raised in Watsontown, a daughter to the late Arthur and Olive (Sheesley) Miller. She worked at, and retired from, Dauphin County Technical School.
For many years, Eleanor enjoyed the card club gatherings, motorcycling, and snowmobiling with family and friends. Eleanor was a talented cook and a lover of books. She freely shared these gifts with others. She was also an avid baseball fan, chiefly rooting for the Phillies and Nationals.
Eleanor was an active member at Our Saviour Lutheran Church. She was active on many committees over the years including the Welcoming Committee, Ripe Apples, and the Church Council. She cherished her friends that she had at church.
Eleanor is survived by her sons, Gregory E. Buss (Elizabeth) and Gary W. Buss (Mary), both of Harrisburg; grandchildren, Gregory, Gwen, and Aubrey; and her great-grandson, Kendrick. She also leaves behind her brother-in-law, Donald "Ted" Buss (Natalie); several nieces and nephews; as well as great neighbors, many friends, and her church family.
In addition to her parents, Eleanor was preceded in death by her loving husband, Gayle E. Buss.
