George King Obituary


Hard Worker -
George Wilbur King, Jr., 90, of Carlisle, and formerly of Mechanicsburg, died at Claremont Nursing & Rehabilitation Center on Wednesday, August 1, 2012. He was born in Harrisburg, on Saturday, January 14, 1922, son of the late George W. King, Sr., and Marie (Rheal) King. George was the widower of Mary E. King.
George graduated from William Penn High School. He retired from Conrail as an engineer. George was a member of Faith United Church of Christ in New Cumberland. He was a US Navy WW II veteran.
George's survivors include his loving daughter Judith Wolfe of Carlisle; eleven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
All are welcome to join George's family at his viewing on Friday, August 3, 2012, from 12:30 to 1:30 at Myers-Buhrig Funeral Home & Crematory, 37 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 at Rolling Green Memorial Park, 1811 Carlisle Road, Camp Hill, PA. Military honors will be conducted by the Cumberland County Honor Guard.
