Gene I am so sorry I could not make it to your services for I did not know of your passing. You helped me out in so many ways with our horse Rainbow and really made my family feel like we were wanted. You will be missed so much by so many people. Barb I am sorry for your loss please call me if you need anything
Today with my family we laid to rest an amazing man, a man who loved my sisters and I, and our children as his own.. my dad Gene. When mom and Gene first met I was just barely 16. Together, he and mom gave me the one thing I had always wanted... my baby brother Gregg. In a way, I felt that Gregg tied us all together, he made us a real family. To give an example of the kind of father Gene was.. This past Dec 3rd (his 50th birthday) a large portion of my house burned down, instead of him being out and celebrating this milestone b - day, he was out shopping for pillows and gathering blankets for us. When I hugged him and said I'm sorry this is what you are doing on your birthday, he said to me, "there's no place else I'd rather be". That's the man he was, the father he was. Gene didn't have to be our dad. But he wouldn't have had it any other way. I am greatfull and blessed to have had him in my life. I will miss you everyday and I will tell Lily stores of you and she will grow up knowing how much her great - pop pop loved and adored her. Please continue to watch over us as you always have. Although I am sad that our time with you was cut so suddenly and short, I am just as thankful for the time I did have with you.
Mom, I also want to thank you for bringing this wonderful man into our lives. He loved you so much and I know he will always be with you. I am here anytime you need me. I love you. ... I will miss those famous words.. "Now wait"
Will always be light. Love you Steph
Gene, I will miss you so much. We had our good times and bad times but we were there for each other. And that will never change. Now you are with dad, to keep you out of trouble. Til we meet again, i will talk to you like i talk to dad. Love you and miss you.

My Dearest Gene, I never thought I would ever be writing on a page like this to you.My heart is so heavy and its hard for me to breath I think of you never being here and my heart hurts. We should have had more time. I should have been there I don't know if I can go on without you but I know I have to because of our son, to get him through college. God has been so good to us to give us our little boy to raise and the time he allowed us to be as one. You were the wind beneath my wings. I will not say goodbye to you because I know you are here with me I tell you good morning every day and that I love you and good night each night I will love you always and carry you in my heart with me all the rest of my days. Until we are together again wait for me I love you Gene Barb.
To my Sister Barbara, & Family
I will always be thankful that I really got to know Gene, He was one of a kind, That little smile on his face will never leave my mined. He was always kind & always would be the first, to lend a helping hand. When he was done for the day,He would get his shower, come out scuffing his feet in his slippers, With his Steelers PJs on, His hair slick back with a cup of coffee.
He Loved my Sister deeper then the Sea. His family was always #1.

Rip Gene..aka pop pop and dad ??
Gene was such a good person. He was a gift from God to my niece Barb. He always went that extra mile for her. When her dad was dying this past October, he dropped everything and brought her to Johnstown. Not only that he stopped at my house and took me to the hospital to be with my brother in his last hour. He stayed right by Barb's side. He will be a shinning star to me forever. He is with God and we can pray to him...not for him. God's peace is with you Eugene. We will all miss you on this earth. Those who loved you...you will live on in their hearts.

I knew Gene from high school. He was a great guy. May he rest in peace. May his family find peace in this time of sorrow.
I too have worked with Gene at Univar for the last 15 years. I started driving truck there, just a few months after Gene started, and so we always "had each others backs", so to speak.
Gene was a good guy, who I always considered a friend, even if he did pick on me from time to time. ha ha
He loved to joke around, and always cared deeply for his wife and family.
His passing is a great loss to everyone who knew him, and I would like to offer my deepest condolences to all of his family and friends, in these troubled times.
Barb and Family,
I'm so very sorry to hear of Gene's passing. We will keep everyone in our prayers at this difficult time.
