Italo R. Savaglio, 78, of Harrisburg, PA passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born July 6, 1934 in Marano Marchesato, Italy; he was the son of Antonio and Antonietta Savaglio. He came to America in 1968 arriving in Chicago and then settling in Harrisburg, PA shortly thereafter. He owned Savaglio's for Men a Clothing Store in downtown Harrisburg for which he was a Tailor, offering his services to prominent Pennsylvania officials. He was known by all to be friendly and energetic but the thing he was the most proud of was his family. He is survived by his wife Elena, his children Antonio, Francesco, Italo and Gabriella and their spouses as well as his grandchildren: Anastacia, John, Dominic, Marisa, Ava, Victor, Anthony, Romolo and Elena. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at 1:00 PM at St. Catherine Laboure Catholic Church, 4000 Derry Street, Harrisburg, PA 17111. Interment will be immediately following at Rolling Green Cemetery, 1811 Carlisle Rd., Camp Hill, PA. Viewing will be from 12:00 PM to time of service in his church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to be made to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Donor Services, PO Box 4072, Pitsfield MA 01202 or St. Catherine Laboure Catholic Church.
