I had Mr. McDermott for homeroom and Nuclear Science Class at Carlisle High School in 1963 or 1964. He was an excellent instructor and I can still recall some of his lectures and the help he gave me in identifying insects for my insect collection, even though he wasn't my biology teacher! My wife and I saw him at an arts festival in Carlisle about 10 or so years ago and he still remembered me. RIP, Mr. McDermott. We will miss you.

Dear Fran and Family,
Sending deep sympathy and many prayers from the Hoover and Kosoloski families. Mom and Dad were so pleased that you and John found each other and shared such deep love. My Dad always looked at John as one of his dearest friends. Just a month ago or so when we met at the Doctor's office, John told me how much he and Dad loved each other's friendship. That is a treasured gift I received that day from your John. Bless you, Fran.
With sincere sympathy,
April and Larry

John was an important part of Wilson College's education program, which he joined after his other careers. He was always friendly and shared a great sense of humor He always had a smile on his face. I remember him walking up the steep stairs in Warfield Hall and stopping to look out the window during that very challenging trek. I am certain that his journey to heaven will be less difficult.

My deepest condolences to his family and friends.

Uncle John brought so much warmth and joy to our family. What a wonderful blessing to get to know and love him. I wish we had more time to talk and hear his stories. I always came away from visits lighter in spirit, richer in knowledge and so very thankful for the experience. His smile and laugh were one of a kind. We will miss him deeply. Crockett, we are holding you in prayer and sending you all our love.
