Like all of the other listed here, I was shocked to just see that Lennie has passed away. As others below, I have not been in touch with him since high school, but I have such wonderful memories of him as one of the few classmates who interacted easily with student groups with many different interests. I was more in the arts camp, but Lennie joined the choir, and because of that I felt a connection to him.

I didn't stay in touch after high school, but that doesn't mean I didn't think about him, and our time together while at Boiling Springs.

My best wishes to his family, and those who love him.

To the Whitcomb Family:
My deepest condolences to you all for the loss of Lennie. I had the pleasure of working with Lennie the past few years on the Leadership Academy partnership. Lennie had such a positive approach and a real passion for people. He was always open to finding new ways to create impact and had a continuous curiosity for learning. Lennie also had a quick wit and love of sports. At the end of a productive call or meeting, we would always find time to talk about his beloved Eagles. I will miss his kind hearted, collaborative style and of course our football discussions. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this difficult time.

Warm regards,
Kellie McCaffrey

i am so sorry to hear of Lennie's passing. I remember him very well from our rugby days with Carlisle OGRFC. He was a wonderful human being an awesome teammate and an incredibly handsome guy. I am truly sadden by this loss and send only the best of thoughts and good wishes to his family. I feel very fortunate to have known him and shared the rugby pitch with him. The world was very luck to have him in it as he made it a better place. David Saporito

Lennie was such a great guy, we became friends in 1981 when he introduced me and many of the crew in this photo to Rugby. He was the coach, captain, leader, and best player on the team. As you can see he is pretty much the only one aware that the photo was taken. This world was a better place with him in it.
