Patricia Schindler Obituary
Born in Harrisburg, December 3, 1939, she was a daughter of the late Hugh and Violet Wilson.
Patricia was a member of Charlton United Methodist Church and the Chum 55+ club at her church. She enjoyed time with her family and various activities in the church. She also loved going on Facebook, playing games and keeping in touch with friends and family.
In addition to her loving husband, Patricia is survived by son, Charles Schindler of Harrisburg; daughters, Karen Oakley and Kathleen Schindler of Harrisburg; three grandsons, Craig Oakley and wife Stephanie, Nathan Oakley and wife Maryann, and Jeremy Oakley' brother, Charles "Pug" Wilson and wife Grace; sisters-in-law, Margaret "Peg" Wilson and Anna Rose Wilson; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Myrtle Gotham and Violet "Peg" Leach; brothers, John J., Donald "Tiny" and Paul Wilson and Horace Tatum; and several step-sisters and brothers.
A memorial service will be held Monday, October 6, 2014, 10:30 AM, at Charlton United Methodist Church, 5920 Jonestown Rd, Harrisburg, PA 17112. Inturnment will follow at Indiantown Gap national Cemetery at 12:30PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2 Lemoyne Drive, Suite 101, Lemoyne, PA 17043.

I loved playing Words with Friends on Facebook with Aunt Pat. She told me she didn't care who won,
she just enjoyed playing. She comforted me greatly when she hugged me at my parent's memorial services.

My dear, precious, good hearted Aunt Pat, thank you so much for babysitting Derek for me many years ago. It was a comfort to me knowing he was in such good hands. Thank you for introducing me to peanut butter pin wheels. Thank you for everything, Aunt Pat. I love, and will miss you. I can only imagine what a wonderful reunion there must be in Heaven with Mom, Aunt Peg, Uncle Tiny, Uncle Jim (Foster), Uncle Jake, Cousin John etc.

To Aunt Pat's family: Prayers are sent to you from the Tatem family. We all have fond childhood memories of Aunt Pat. She looks so much like Grandma Violet. As our families grow and we branch out into our individual family circles, we unfortunately loose touch with each other. Not so long ago, our Sister Dottie, who has since passed, met Aunt Pat at a restaurant in Mount Joy. Aunt Pat had stopped after visiting Roots Market. Aunt Pat will always be in our memories and in our hearts. Love to All

For those who knew my grandmother, knew how much she enjoyed watching and reading about her soaps. I always remember her recording them.
She was always there for me through my highs and struggles. She had a kind heart, brightened your day, and was the easiest person to talk to.
She will always be with me. I love her dearly.
