Darlene, so glad you shared this memory. I've always felt close to the Summers family in Philly and in Bowman, S. C.

I still have fond memories sitting side by Side with Sadie in the Alto section at Triump Baptist church.

I cant believe that its been seven years since my beloved Aunts passing. I can truly say she is missed. My greatest memories are her infectious. And we you to have a high spirited debate with football as she was a lousy Cowboy fan but it was in good fun and spirits. I miss her and I love her very much.

Hi Mom,

It has been seven years and I still miss you so very much - especially at holiday time. I will never forget the good food you used to cook and all of those great times that we had on Girard Avenue and on Smedley Street in Philadelphia, then here in Harrisburg when you moved here.

I love you always and I know that you are up in heaven with our Father!

Rest in Peace MOMMY!!!

MOM - we will never forget you! I remember you saying to me how much you missed your mom and I did not understand then - I understand what you meant now!!!!

"It's been a long while since we heard your divine voice.

Sometimes knowing that you're gone makes our eyes moist.

We miss you dearly, but we won't let our tears show, we still love you like we did many years ago.

Sometimes your absence makes us depressed and restless, we miss your presence, we miss your pleasant essence.

We miss the way you blessed us with your smiling face, you used to light up a room with your style and grace.

WE MISS YOU GRANDMA!!!!

Hi Mom:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!

I still miss you. I guess I will always miss you so very much until I get there. It rained all day here and so I did not get a chance to get to the cemetery, but I plan to go tomorrow. I know you are with our Father in heaven right now. Destiny said that you are "having the best birthday party ever with God!" I believe it!!!

Hi Mom - You are gone, but NEVER forgotten. We miss you so very much! I love you! Darlene

November 12, 2014

Hey Grandma,
This all still feels very unreal. You know I love you sooooooo much. I still can't believe I won't be able to see your smiling face saying "Hey Baybay! Give me some suga" or laughing at Martin saying "Get the steppin!" or singing gospel songs and the Temptations's songs. I cried so much from the very beginning November 5, 2011 when it all began then at the fact that you were in the hospital for so long then in that nursing home. I cried even more knowing that I won't be able to give you some suga or those big hugs plus another one because you said I didn't hug you *smile*. I do not like nursing homes and I know you didn't either so it's good you don't have to be in that place anymore and now you get to be in the BEST place watching over us. So I can stop crying over the fact that you won't be at my graduation or my wedding because you will be there in spirit and in my heart. You know it just still hurts that we have to wait to see you again. I love you "grandmama" Sweet Sadie.

~Love,
Your little Pinky

Darlene,
I wish I could lie and tell you that it's ok and it will pass but, I can't.

It's been 23 years and I am still in mourning for my parents.

But, please take comfort in knowing; That there is peace and there is calm and she is happy.

Love You,

Aunt Sadie, I will truly miss you. I will never forget all the good times we shared together. All the good cooking you have done. I will never forget coming to your home on Girard Avenue and going to get the big pickels. I love you so much. I know you are with Nanny and Momie now having a good time in the Lord. Shouting and praising and worhipping the Lord. No more pain no more sorrow. God picked one of his precious roses and brought you home with him. You assignment here was finished.

Psalm 100:4

Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise: be thankful unto Him, and bless His name.

Dear Mom:

I count it all joy that I had you in my life. Because of you I am able to love my children unconditionally – just like you showed me. Because of you I love the Lord and our family.

I am glad that you did not have to suffer too long. Now God has given you all that you need to be strong.

As you enter into His gates with Thanksgiving and into His courts with praise, I know that you will be smiling and laughing with glee.

Hey mom – I know you won't forget to save a spot for me!

I love you,
Dar---
