I remember Richard as a member of our HIgh School Class of 1947. He attended our 70th class reunion this past August and the first time I saw him since we graduated. It was shock to read this in the newspaper as he appeared to be in good physical condition then. Richard was a very kind and thoughtful person.

Our friendship dates back to 10/05/50, when we both were headed to Lackland AFB, to join the service, during Korean War. We met at Harrisburg, PA, place of departure. During basic training, we were inseparable buddies, Richard on lower bunk, with me on the top. After basic, we were separated, losing total contact for 38 yrs. What a day of rejoining, when we found one another We made it a point to meet one another to maintain that friendship. it is sad to say goodbye to my buddy, but we know he is in heaven, which is far better. Will see you again one day, dear friend.
