Robert Mann Obituary
Robert "Captain Bob" W. Mann, 77, of Dillsburg, passed away Thursday, September 4, 2014, at his home.
He was born April 26, 1937, in Jamaica, Long Island, NY, the son of the late Charles and Edith (Fuglestad) Mann.
Robert was the widower of Catherine (Undset) Mann.
He was a retired Tug Boat Captain for Texaco. After he retired from Texaco, Robert served as the Captain of the Pride of the Susquehanna for 10 years. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and was a member of the Dillsburg American Legion, Post #26.
Robert is survived by one daughter, Susan E. Simmers and her husband Michael of Gardners; three sons, Charles K. and his wife Tammy of Mechanicsburg, Robert M. and his wife Stephanie of Dillsburg, and Kenneth W. and his wife Julie of Dillsburg; two sisters, Edith Houston of Brevard, NC and Evelyn Hixenbaugh of Dillsburg; and his companion, Joan Myers of Dillsburg. He also leaves behind nine grandchildren.
Services will be held Monday, September 8, 2014, at 11:00 am in the Cocklin Funeral Home, Inc., 30 N. Chestnut St., Dillsburg. Viewings will be held Sunday from 6-8 pm and on Monday from 10-11 am at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 897, Hershey, PA 17033.

Sorry to hear of "Captain Bob's passing. I enjoyed working with Bob on the Pride of the Susquehanna and always enjoyed his dry sense of humor. Captain Jack Dillman always kept me up to date of Bobs' health. A very good Captain and an excellant boat handler. Bob's entire family is in my prayers. Thanks for the memories!!
