William A. Rohrer, 83, of Stuart, FL. and most recently of Mechanicsburg passed away Saturday, April 20, 2013 at Pinnacle Community General Hospital. He was born February 17, 1930 in Harrisburg to the late John and Mary Arter Rohrer.
He was a past owner of Lincoln Street Market in Marysville, Marysville Super Market, one of the founders of Handy Market's convenience stores, and Big Bee Save Rite Super Market. In 1971 he started Big Bee Mobile Shop which is presently Big Bee Boat and RV's. Bill was past owner M.F.G. Boat Co. and a principle owner of Ten-Ten Novelty Co. He started Big Bee Boat LTD of Delaware and York, Pa and also owned Big Bee Self Storage.
He was a Perry Co. Commissioner, Perry Co. Republican Party Chairman and served on Gov. Thornburgh's Justice Commission.
Bill was a 32nd degree Mason, member of Masonic Lodge #458 F&AM, Tall Cedars, Shriner's and Loyal Order of the Jester's.
He was a lifetime member of the Marysville Fire Co. and the Moose Club. Bill was a member of Marysville Civic Club and the VFW. He was Past President of the Marysville Lions Club and in 1961 was awarded Man Of The Year. He was a member of the Duncannon Alumni Club.
Bill was pre-deceased by his sister Betty Schultz, two brothers: John U. and Charles Rohrer.
William is survived by his wife of 60 years; Colleen, One Daughter Terry Lee Rohrer, Harrisburg, One son Randolph W. and wife Amanda Rohrer of Mechanicsburg. One sister Mary Emma Sterner of Duncannon, Four grandchildren Yonn D. and wife Brenda Barrick, Zachary J. Barrick, Chase R. Rohrer and Reece A. Rohrer. One step-grandchild- Oliva Taylor, Two great-grandchildren Trey R. Barrick and Petra C. Barrick.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday, April 29, 2013, at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Camp Hill, with Bishop Guy Edminston officiating. Private burial will be in Duncannon. Visitation will be Monday at the church from 10:00-11:00 A.M.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 3544 North Progress, Suite 103, Harrisburg, Pa 17110.

I am so sorry for your loss. Mr. Rohrer was truly a larger than life man who really made his mark. Everyone in Marysville area benefitted from his drive and vision, he was a real keystone in our community, helping more people than he knew. I will keep him and his family in my prayers.
