Please accept my condolences on the loss of Ms. Gray. Her obituary caught my eye because of her military service. I wanted to make sure her service was recognized, so I have sent her obituary with a donation to register her with the Women in Military Service to America (WIMSA) memorial foundation in case she was not already registered

Since you included her military service in the obituary, you were obviously very proud of her service. I am very grateful, too, that women like her paved the way for my generation to succeed in the military. Please consider contacting WIMSA (womensmemorial.org) to give them more details, perhaps even copies of photos or other documents, from her service.

I wish we could have seen you more often but being 2,000 miles away makes it hard. You were always fun to be around.

Dear Aunt Betty,

I feel so blessed to have had you as a member of my family. You have been like a mother to me since I was a little girl. You always loved me and encouraged me to be a kind and loving person . You set a remarkable example for me by the way you always put other's needs before the needs of yourself. I will always have such fond memories of holiday and birthday celebrations at your house and ours, collecting shells on the beach, riding in the little blue truck, going to softball games and sitting and talking on the back porch. No one made a better steak on the grill, BLT or pecan pralines that my Aunt Betty. I will miss you in my life and always cherish all the special memories of you.
