Amon was a classmate at Paxton and my memories of those days with him are so good. I also remember visiting with him when he moved next day to my parents behind Lake Jackson and we were able to refresh the friendship and appreciate how the years had given him so many opportunities that were unimaginable in the early years. I join others who pray for his family members and friends to have the comfort of God and the sympathy of friends.
I will always remember Amon we bought our first cook wear set from him. He will be missed by all. God Bless his family.
My thoughts and prayers are with you all as you remember all the wonderful memories that you share of your loved one. Amon was one of my classmates at Paxton High School, class of 1958. We have many fond memories of our days at Paxton. My love and sympathy to the family
Amon's speech at our 1958 graduation was "Take the world as you find it, BUT LEAVE IT BETTER." Indeed he well did! He cared deeply for all of us and we did him.Rest in peace,Old Friend. Virginia Ballard Settles
