How wonderful that Tiny and my dad, Bill Noonan, were lifelong friends. My parents have told me of the early days of parenting when they were next door neighbors in an apt. building. Each couple had their newborn sons (Ted and Billy), and what crying there was from little Ted due to colic! Through the years, our families grew up together; what fun the four Lamar kids and four Noonan kids had! There were many bayou skiing/swimming/cookout get togethers, as well as New Years Day dinners. I fondly remember card playing and watching Mission Impossible with Bobby and Duby. All through these years, I remember Tiny smiling, cheerful, and chuckling about one thing or another. I am so thankful that my last two trips to Pensacola included visits with Tiny and Betty. And even though his eyesight was poor and his strength declining, he remained upbeat. I am very thankful for Tiny's life, and for the wonderful memories I have of good times with the Lamar family. Lifelong friends like that are hard to find.
