We were just told about Dr. Chew's passing. Our deepest condolences to his family and to Beth. He was one of the most caring men I have ever met and always took such wonderful care of my furkids. He always had a kind word and inquired about my family. Rest in peace, dear friend. Until we see you again, you are surrounded by all the furkids you have cared for over the years.
I was genuinely shocked to find out, only today, of Dr. Clint Chew's passing. I have known Clint since 2000 as the caring, wonderful vet for my mini schnauzers and as a dear friend to me. He always had time to joke, trade stories and lend an ear when I needed a friend. Great guy. I will really miss him
I only met you once, Nancy, but I considered Kim and Courtney friends. I have just learned of Clint's death, and I cannot express fully how sorry I am. He was a wonderful man. He took good care of me and my animals, and he always made me laugh. I am so sorry for your loss.
We will miss him he has been my furry childrens Dr. since he opened.
I did not know about this until now, and I am so sorry. He was wonderful to all of his clients(people as well as animals) and I will truly miss him.
My deepest condolences. His mother was my second grade teacher at Warrington Elementary. Prayers for all.
I am just learning of Dr. Chew's passing and it saddens me so. His kindness will be missed by my family and our pets. We will miss him so. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.
Our deepest condolences to all of Dr. Chew's family, friends and to his faithful side-kick at the clinic, Beth. We loved his smile, laugh and kindness over the more than 20 years we knew him and trusted him with all of our animals. We will miss him.
I have known Clint since Jr. High School when he was the handsomest and best Butterfly swimmer in the whole southeast I imagine. His wonderful practice, kindness to our animals, and lovely family are a continuing testament to his legacy as a very good and kind man. My brother had a very difficult time in his adulthood, but whenever Clint and I ran into him, he always asked about Jimmy. Love you and rest now dear Clint.
I am just now learning of Dr. Chew's passing. I opened my business almost 15 years ago in Pensacola (Gulf Coast Pet Crematory, Inc.)and Dr. Chew was one of the first Veterinary Clinic's to support me and has since day one. I will be forever thankful to him for his support and advise his passed on to me through the years. RIP Dr. Chew.
We love and respected Dr. Chew. He took such great care of our dogs for many years. He was also a friend and we loved his family. His loss in this community is sadden. He will be missed by all. Such a great man to his family, community and friends. His landmark will forever be remembered..........
I am offering my deepest sympathy and prayers to Dr. Chew's family and to Beth. I appreciated so much his devotion to the various pets I brought for treatment. He had a special gentleness and kindness .We will miss him.
My wife and I were deeply saddened with the news of Dr. Chew's passing. He, Beth and his family always treated us as friends, which we do consider he was, and not just patients. We always loved our talks with him no matter what the subject was. He was such a devoted man to his wife, daughters and his practice. I just wish there were more vets and people like him in this world for it would be a much better place. I loved when we bumped into him at Target or Lowe's and had a friendly conversation. Dr. Chew saw my wife and I at some of the most difficult times when that time came for a beloved pet and some of the most joyous times with the love of a new pet. But through it all he was there with all of his support and care for the pet and us. We cannot say enough what a pleasure it was to have him in our lives as a vet and a friend. He will be thought of often. Our thoughts are with his family and Beth.
I am just finding out about his passing, i have been using Dr Chew since before he open Ferry Pass. I am in disbelief and in shock. He will be greatly missed. He was a wonderful person along with a great vet. My deepest sympathy to all of his family and Beth. Sincerely Barbara Dalton
Back sometime around 1979 I first took my then 6 year old dog in for her shots and Clint was filling in for the local vet in Gulf Breeze. His gentleness with my dog convinced me he was the vet I wanted to use from then on. Later, I brought him a young stray cat who had been frequenting my shop as his home. This young cat hadn't shown up for a couple of days and when I finally found him in my wood storage, his jaw was broken in a couple of places and his tongue was so swollen he couldn't eat or drink. Clint fixed his jaw and simply told me I could pay the bill if the little guy decided to stick around. He did and I happily paid for Clint's caring work which was worth more than he charged me. Clint's generosity and genuine caring for animals and the people who loved them was the thing I most admired in him. He was a good friend for a long time and I will miss him.
I was so sorry to hear of Dr. Chew's passing. I worked with him years ago through the old emergency clinic and doing relief work at his practice.
with deepest sympathy, Sue Calloway, DVM
I am a bit late finding out that Dr. Chew is no longer with us. He came highly recommended years ago per Wes of the Ferret & Dove Sanctuary. Dr. Chew not only saved more than one of our ferrets, but broke the news to me gently when he could no longer help one of our cats, and she went to Heaven. He has since been the only vet I would take my cats and dog too. After more than one upsetting experience with other local vets, I came to trust Dr. Chew with my pets lives. I truly believe that Dr. Chew was a very caring and honest man. I remember thinking the last time we visited Dr. Chew, in December 2013, that he looked very tired....I am glad he is in Heaven now! Our condolences to his family and staff. God bless.
Angela & Christopher Adams
We too were shocked and deeply saddened to hear of Dr. Chew's passing. Words cannot begin to express what a loss this is. He was such a special friend. We began seeing "Dr. Clint" when he first opened his practice and never once did he hesitate to help one of our animals. We rescued abused/abandoned dogs and lived in the country, he, knowing how difficult it was to bring them all in, he, "Nan", and the girls, Courtney & Kim (before they were married), drove to Walnut Hill to give our dogs shots and visit for a while.
Just who does this??? Dr. Clint Chew, JR! That's who. This is who HE was. He sincerely cared for his "patients"...and their owners.
We will always love you and hold you and your family...and BETH, in our hearts and prayers. To Beth, I am so sorry for your loss as well. You have been there every step of the way and we love you too! Please don't hesitate to contact us if you ever need anything.
Always, God Bless you all and keep you close during this sad time.
Love, Kevin & Harriet Pugh
Dr. Chew will be greatly missed! Condolensces to the family and Beth. May he rest in peace with the all the furry creatures he befriended and helped over the years.
My deepest condolences to Clint's family. Clint and I grew up together in competitive swimming. I have many fond memories of outings at his parents house on Perdido Bay.
Dr Chew.you was a blessing in my life when I needed a vet.you treated my cats as they were yours.you was a blessing from God to each of our cats and dogs of ferrypass and far.you will be missed very much. My prayers with family and staff. Bless Thee. ShirleymaeBoyd .juanasue.babykit.honeyboy.lilgirl .
Dr Chew took care of our little pomeranian who got extremely sick and Dr.Chew and Beth tried there best to save him but it was our dogs time to go, when we got the bill, it was in excess of $600 and Dr.Chew new it was a lot of money, he told us to just pay me monthly what you can until you pay it off. We did and never once did they send us a bill or ask about it when we took our other dog in. That was the kind of man he was along with Beth. You will never get that kind of love from a big clinic. We will never forget Dr Chew and Beth for being so kind to us and our 4 legged children.
We are so sorry to hear of his passing. He was old school, but I trusted him implicitly with our dogs. He and my husband traded tech support for vet services, but neither was good at keeping up with which one owed the other one. Beth never knew when or what to charge me. He was a wonderful vet and a wonderful man. I had the hardest time finding a vet I was happy with when we moved to Alabama because of our professional and personal relationship with him had me so spoiled.
He will be greatly missed. His family and Beth will be in our prayers.
My deepest condolences to the entire Chew Family. Back in the day we had some good times on Perdido Bay......WE were Rebel Classmates. Very sad to hear of his passing.......had I remained in Pensacola or returned, he would have been my animals Vet for sure. Rest in Peace Dr. Clint Chew! GOD BLESS........65 Escambia Rebel

He was a sweet man and I always enjoyed talking with him about his wife and I being from the same town in Ohio. Sincere condolences to his family and friends. I know he will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Beth, I hope you are doing as well as can be expected. It's been a long time.....feel free to contact me, if you wish.

Dr Chew was my vet for many years. He was an excellent diagnostician that could still utilize his eyes, ears, and ability to take a history to diagnose most problems....an anomaly in today's world. Nan and the girls will most certainly feel the void much more than his clients but my family of wiener dogs will miss his kindness and excellent care. God bless you all.
