It was an honor and privilege to serve with COL Dean Schnoor as a member of the 173d Airborne Brigade in Vietnam. Our paths crossed again in Northwest Florida when we attended a West Point Founders Day dinner, along with his classmate (and my good friend) COL J. Ross Franklin. COL Franklin passed away last July (2012) and now he has been joined by COL Schnoor. Now I am left with memories, but they are great memories and my life was very much enriched because they were in it. My deepest sympathies to Joyce and the entire Schnoor family from my current deployment location in Southwest Asia.
Joyce, we are so sorry for your loss. We pray God's mercy and grace be with you; may He comfort you and may you know the presence of His love each day. We love you. Glenn and Kathy

Joyce and family, It is indeed rare to meet someone of Dean's calibur in life. It was my honor and priviledge (not just to know him but) to call him friend for many years. I will truly miss him.
