From the Holland Stables Days, in the '40's and 50's, when we were kids, to our pre- Reunion Days, even through the last week of his life, Richard's fine qualities consistently shone forth. He was essentially fun-loving, generous and responsible. He played a vital role in doing 'detective work' which helped make our Holland Stables Reunion (2001) possible after a 45 year gap. He's just the kind of person who makes the world turn. I am happy that he was in our horse group during those formative years to share the good times, the ups and downs, even tragedy. He is a bright light in my memory and I make this formal good-bye tribute with love and affection, and kind thoughts for Margaret and those who will miss our dear Richard.
