"My deepest sympathy go out to the Percy Sutton family on their loss of our beloved friend to our nation. The Chairman was an inspiration!"

Percy Sutton represents the very best of attributes wrapped in one package. His gift of making one feel at ease in his 'majestic' presence, his quest for what is right for all people, his wide scope of knowledge and his ability to make one feel that they could achieve anything has endeared him over the years to countless people of all races. So much of what we enjoy today resulted from the commitment to the pursuit of justice by this gentle giant. It is my hope that his name will resonate down through the years to come as stories are told of great African Americans. God Bless you, family and thank you for having shared this precious jewel with the world.

Brother Sutton ignited the 1988 Kappa Conclave in Dallas, Texas, I was fortunate to meet him, dialog with him, and I will never forget his command presence in a room. Thank you family for sharing your treasure with us, may God fill your void and that of the Bond of Kappa Alpha Psi. Thurman Bartie (Port Arthur, Texas)
