TELL CITY â€" Erna Price, 88, of Madison, formally of Tell City, passed away Monday, April 8, 2013, at her home in Madison.
She was born in Tell City July 8, 1924, to Edwin and Addie (Lawalin) Baumgart.
She was married Sept. 30, 1950, to Louis Price, who preceded her in death in 1996. Also preceding her in death were her sisters, Ruth Baumgart and Hazel Faulkner and a brother, Ralph Baumgart.
Erna was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 213 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary Post 2939. Before moving to Madison, she was a member of Evangelical United Church of Christ. She enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Surviving are her daughter, Jackie Waggoner and her husband, Jeff, of Madison; her twin sister, Verna Logsdon of New Albany and two grandsons, Dakota and Dylan Burchfield.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 11, (today) at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home. Pastor Tonya Schmitz will officiate. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until 1p.m. today at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Special Olympics of Indiana.
