If the news reports are true, Peter will be returned to his loving family one final time. In such a dark time, to be blessed this way is such a gift considering so many others will not be found.

I wish you healing this year. 4 months have passed, and while some may have moved on, many of us across the world remember individual people who perished, and think of them when we wake up every the morning to start the day in the most humble way.

Dear Peter and Family,
What do you say to someone you never met, but know they were wonderful and their memory deserves to be cherished? I am sorry? Thank you? God Bless you?
All these things and more need to be said for you, Peter and everyone who perished on September 11.
On this Christmas Eve, my thoughts are with Angels and I know you and your fellow firefighters who did not return to your loved ones are now Angels, living with God in Heaven.
I believe that is why the sky was so brillant, clear, and blue on that fateful day...It was so crystal clear to make your journey to Heaven swift and unobstructed.
I read the wonderful tribute and story that was printed in the Daily News, today, about you, by your loving wife and the reporters who kept you under their watchful eye. I smiled as I read the story about the Christmas Party on Middagh Street, home of the heroes of Engine 205/Ladder 118! That station is one of the fire stations I have "adopted" and write and send poems and my thoughts to, as often as I can.
Bittersweet was the term used for your visit, Mrs. Grice-Vega. My heart breaks for your pain and sorrow. I wish I could take the feelings of loss away from your heart.
I hope the messages of peace and love that have flooded this site brings you comfort and I pray the sun one again will shine through the dark clouds overhead.
God Bless you Peter, Regan, and baby daughter Ruby.
My grandparents and aunt lived in NYC and as I child I spent every summer in the Bronx. My grandfather, as a matter of fact, worked for the Daily News forever!
I had not returned to NYC in many years, but on the weekend of November 10, my daughter and I made the pilgrimage to pay our respects and homage to those who perished at the World Trade Center. Sadness still overwhelms me and my thoughts and prayers will continue for many more holiday seasons to come.
May Peace be yours for the New Year, Mrs. Grice-Vega, Ruby, and loved ones.

Peter must have had a very caring and wonderful heart to have given it to others everytime he was sent on a call or stop to help others. We appreciate all he did to help others. What a wonderful memory of Madison Square garden and your proposal. Our hearts cry with you.
America Cries
We see your sorrow-
and our hearts cry....
We can not erase your pain
but you do not have to face the anguish alone-for we-
-the American people-
are beside you.
We so desperately want to have the touch that brings you comfort,
the strength that gives you courage,
and the words to lighten your spirits.
And when we are left speechless
may the silence of our nation weave love into your hearts
to ease your sorrow.
May you find healing through our nation's strength as we-
-the American people-
face this difficult time together. Our hearts are with you. Teresa Jahn

My name is Joan Little, maiden name was Farrell. I lived upstairs from Pete, his mom and grandparents on 17st in Brooklyn. I remember our first day of kindergarten with Pete, He was scared and upset. Its just a day that I remember.
Now I will always remember September 11th, not only for what took place but also finding out about that Pete was one of the missing. We are so very sorry for Petes wife , daughter, family and friends. I have bumped into Petie in the neighborhood , by Farrells years ago when he was working at the liquor store, He was such a nice guy. I was glad to hear he was married and had a little girl. I just wanted to honor Pete and let you know he will never be forgotten. All our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
