Peter once told me, "I loved catching a football," My he be "looking in" some tight spirals in Heaven. He was even a better man than he was a player and writer. RIP. Douglas Billnitzer

To paraphrase a line from the movie: When I go into Tom Laundry to talk salary, you tell me it's a team and a family. When I go in to talk about the team and family , you tell me it's a business. That was a most memorable story line in the movie. it has stuck with me for years.
the book was a real forboding into the NFL. Now we have all these post concusion problems. What book or story would Pete have written in this era? A man far ahead of his time RIP

North Dallas Forty, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's nest, Bury my heart at Wounded Knee, The Godfather- what a great time for authors that opened our eyes. RIP Mr. Gent and thanks for the memories.
