I am a big fan of baseball, in which Phil played a major role in my loe for the game. He is the last ball player to play with/against Babe Ruth. Phil has a special place in my baseball room. I have one of his bats hangin on the wall. I am so sorry for your loose. He will be remembered by many. My heart goes out to his family

I remember when Phil was a player/manager of the Cubs, playing the Pittsburg Pirates, down 0-6 in the ninth inning. The cubs battled back and Phil pinched hit , hitting a home run to win the game 7-6. One of the most exciting games I ever witnessed. Ken.
