A great priest and pastor, sensible, intelligent, charitable & patriotic. He should have been made a cardinal. I'm sure he's with his God even now. Rest in Peace.

In this day and age this truly man of God
makes a humble person feel glad to know there are still good men of God as our priests. May your family find comfort in
knowing that you are sitting watching over them with our Lord. Rest In Peace.

Sincerely,

GG Bigrigg

Archbishop Hannan arrived at the time of Hurricane Betsy and made his first pastoral visits to the most stricken areas in a boat. He endeared himself to the people of New Orleans with his humble and kind manner -- there wasn't a pompous bone in his body! He lived through many turmoils in New Orleans, including Hurricane Katrina, which he spent hunkered down in the WLAE studio, with National Guardsmen bringing him food and water while he stood guard over the facility (age 88)! He was a great man of God and will be missed by many people. May he live forever in eternal peace.
