I'm still so sad at the passing of my old friend, Philip. We did theatre together in the 1980s and he was the consummate LINUS to my LUCY in "You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown". He was incredibly intelligent and enlightened and damn good actor. I'm not surprised that he went on in life and did great things. Such a loss for all. My condolences to his family.

We are dedicating our computer lab to Phil. He contributed to our success as much as anyone with his great ideas, wisdom, wit, charm, loyalty, and unwavering work ethic.

I could always count on Phil.

When faced with difficult jobs we often worked around the clock in a very hostile environment in the oilfields and when the rest of us got tired, cranky, and mean, Phil kept our spirits up with his sense of humor and charm.

For all the days he worked for us without rest, without complaint, we trust he can now rest in peace.

Our hearts go out to Kathy, and Breanna. There are no words to express our sorrow.

We are dedicating our winter Transfer Student Success class at UCSB to Dr. Babcock. He was one of the best guests we've ever had. Students will read the Babcock and Marks article and discuss what he covered on his memorable visits. I am very grateful that I got to spend some time with Philip.

You have my deepest sympathy. May good memories provide solace for your family during this challenging time; and may God provide you with the assurance that you will see your loved one again in Paradise. John 17:3
