May you rest well now, Alan. What a lovely man and what a fantastic story teller! I've known Alan my whole life because he worked with my Grandmother (Freda Agnew) when he started in the Philadelphia library system. She took a special shine to him, perhaps because they both originated from Ohio. He became a lifelong friend to her and my family members are all the better for it. His laughter and the sparkle in his eye when he was telling a funny story will never be forgotten!

May you find comfort in the memories of your loved one.
May the God of peace comfort you.

My condolences to the Family. May God strengthen the Family during this difficult time. Isa. 41:1O,13.

Alan was like family to my Mom and all of her children, grandchildren and extended family. He seemed to know all of our birthdays, and celebrated our victories and cried in our pain. He was like our adopted great uncle.

Alan was a trusted companion to my Mom (Joan OBrien) and a caretaker to her in her later years. They loved each other in their own way.

Alan was a treasure of odd knowledge and a lover of life and people. He was larger than life and lit up the room with his presence.

He will be missed but we have his memories to keep us warm.

Rest in peace friend
