He was a fantastic, generous man.

I never had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Martinelli, but I have had the pleasure of meeting and getting to know David, Susan and his grandson Steve. Over the years, I have learned that the apple never falls far from the tree. Based on that I am sure that during his lifetime, he truly balanced being a focused and successful businessman and a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather.

As a friend of his grandson Steve, I only had the pleasure of meeting Mr Martinelli briefly a few times. What resonates with me to this day was how deeply proud of his family he was. He and Mrs Martinelli were warm and open with their love of Steve and talked enthusiastically about their three other grandchildren in the short time we sat and enjoyed lunch together. A truly generous and loving man set the foundation for his family and their children to become loving adults. Our interaction stuck with me all these years later and I am deeply saddened for the Martinelli/Shea families as I know how much love was between them. I hope his life and the impact his love had on his family and those around him can be celebrated and the example he set can be treasured & carried on.
