The first football game I went to was at West Point when Charlie was the star running back. I became infatuated with the game by watching Charlie. I always remembered Charlie, and today was the Army /Navy game which made me think of him, so I googled him and saw this obituary. Its amazing how someone we watch in a football game when we are 13 can make such an impression on us. My youngest son played 2 football games against Army, 1 game at Yankee Stadium, which brought back the memory of watching Charlie run. Never knew you Charlie but you made a life long impression on me. God Bless

I knew Charlie when he was an Assistant Coach at AAA, West Point, New York. I was their secretary and have so many fond memories of him. Charlie always had a ready smile and was such a perfect gentleman. I have never forgotten him all these years (he was so handsome) and such a nice guy..God Bless you, Charlie and Rest In Peace.

I was a Plebe when Charlie visited West Point considering playing football for the academy. I showed him around and recommended he join. The rest is history. We played together on Football & Lacrosse teams. I just visited him in September 2017. Little did I know that would be the last time I would see him. What a fine person and a great team mate. I will miss him!
