I met Helen Mossor on the Summer beaches of St.Georges in Bermuda back in the early 80's along with their daughter Trudi.
I remember Helen very well - her vibrancy, engagement, good laugh, quick wit and her most beautiful tan. We often held out our arms in passing ( usually at breakfast sittings ) comparing who was darker and who had worked harder on the beaches; always ending in a good laugh when pulling a waiter ( from her section of the dining room ) to be a judge.
I remember how our family became quick friends with her, Dick and Trudi. Helen made many friends on that small island in the Atlantic and it was always great to hear my mother talk about her at Christmas when cards were the main way of keeping in touch ...and years later receiving wise-cracking email blasts from either The New Yorker cartoons or just one-liner jokes, which I'm sure you've all been recipients of.
She was marvelous, fun loving and a true inspiration of how one should party and live one's life; what a woman!
Cheers to you Helen.
Condolences to you Trudi and to your brothers.
