I was just thinking about Mrs. Taylor, and saw this notice. My parents were also tablemates of hers back in the first decade of this millennium, and my mother Beatrice stayed in touch with Joan even after moving to New Jersey to be closer to family. She always said what a positive person Joan was,and they liked to share stories of their youth, current events, and of course talking lovingly of their children and especially their grandchildren!

My mother felt a real kinship to Joan, and I too am saddened to hear of her passing. I can still recall chatting with her at the MH regarding her travels abroad, particularly to Europe! Yes, she was one intelligent and eloquent lady--they sure don't make 'em like her much anymore!

Very sorry to hear about your mother. She was a tablemate to my mom!
