John truly helped Queen Village with his years of service as Chairman of our zoning committee. The entire community has benefited so much from his guidance. David O'Donnell

John had an incredible presence in the neighborhood and a cherubic personality that shined through with his smile. He will be greatly missed. My thoughts are with the family at this difficult time.

I just saw this, and my heart is breaking for you all. I don't care about age or numbers, it's always too soon for someone who shown as bright as he did in this world. He always made me laugh or at least try NOT to laugh. i truly adored your family while i was at PC...you are among the families that made Lower School bearable. I wish I could say that to him. I wish I had stayed close with your family, but stupid things that are so trivial now tend to get in the way of a life that I should have lived better on my part. That said, I will always remember his laugh and grin as well as the poem that Amy said epitomized your love for one another...shockingly it was a hilarious one.

I mean this with complete sincerity: please reach out to me if there is anything I can do...even if it's just sitting with you, or laughing with you, or whatever else you may come up with for me to do, since it's not in my power to take the pain away, though I wish I had that power at times like these.

I call myself a writer, and yet when it matters, I simply cannot find the words. Those that I do manage to grab just seem absurdly inadequate. Please know, your entire family will be in my prayers, always.
