I met Mary many years ago in Chile. We became good friends and roommates in New York... I considered Mary as a sister - and learned a lot from her truly "good" self and unchallenged honesty.... "One of a Kind" is a phrase used too often - but in Mary's case it really applied ..... I will miss her so much... Our annual visits became fewer as travel took its toll on old age" but we kept in touch" and talked often. Even when my children were young they loved Mary's visit and looked forward her"attention".....Vaya con Dios Mary .....Luvya.... Elaine

I was so sorry to hear about Mary's passing.. We met in Chile many years ago and remained friends (and roommates in New York)... I considered Mary a sister - and learned much from her wisdom and uncompromising integrity and strength.... Although the phrase "one of a kind" is often used indiscriminately I think it was coined especially for Mary.... I will always remember her laugh and strict adherence to "truth" ... I am going to miss her annual visits - which became scarcer as we got older... but we endeavored to keep in touch and spoke often... Special friends don't come very often.... I was so lucky to call her my friend.....

I'm so sorry to hear of Mary's passing. I worked with Mary at Emlen and Company for many years. We shared our religion in common and remained friends over the years. She was a very good person. May she rest in peace.
