Dear Family,

I am the grandgaughter of the late P. F. Martin (d 1945).
Is the McMonagle family related to the P. F. Martin who was the tugboat owner in Philadelphia. He came from Donegal, Ireland when he was about 9 years old.
There is a reference to "John Martin" in one of my grandfather's documents.
I have photos of Cecilia and of Maggie Ann
Martin , taken in B.F. Reimer's studio on 2nd St in Philadelphia about 1860 or before.
I am curious to know the history of this great man: PFMartin. My father was William Hugh Martin; his brother was Joseph P. Martin and hus 2 daughters were Margaret K and Eleanor. His son Charles Francis was in WWI and Charles who returned to Philadelphia later died from drowning.
You can see PF Martin's Monument at Holy Seplechure Cemetery 1-59-I and my Mausoleum at W61-64-I.
William Martin had 7 Children (I am the last remaining); Joseph P Martin had 1 child; Eleanor and Margaret K had no children.
My father said that I am related to the McCafferty's. My grandmother Susan McCafferty is buried at St Anne's cemetery on Lehigh Avenue, Philadelphia. Emma is buried (1923) at my Grandfather's grave site I -5-I
I tried to write sooner.
