Missing you everyday Grandpop. Yesterday would have been your 71st Birthday. I love you so much.

My prayers and deepest sympathy are with the family. I was surprised to learn of Michael's death. I remember Michael as an eighth grader at Holy Innocents School. As his teacher, I can only say that he was a pleasure to have him in the class. I wish that I had been able to attend his Mass. However, he is in my prayers.

Sincerely,
Sister Marian Regina

To the Doherty Family: I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I enjoyed getting to know Mike over the years - seeing him at Doherty family holiday celebrations and parties, visiting him at the Mayfair Post Office which was close to the Forrest School where I worked, and spending time with him at the Nazareth Academy School fundraisers in memory of his daughter Jeanmarie. He loved his family and friends. Mike had a great personality and was always pleasant, kind, and caring. He will be missed.

So very saddened to hear of Mike's passing. Know that I will keep him and the entire family in my daily prayers.

I have memories of my cousin Michael that go back to childhood......throwing a baseball or football around with him over at Juniata Park when our family would go over and visit the Doherty home on Neilson Street in Juniata. What I will always remember is the genuinely nice and good-hearted person Mike was. That was attested-to by the number of folks who turned-out to pay their respects to Mike and his family on Wednesday evening and on Thursday.

I know Mike had a number of favorite Irish songs......but on Thursday evening after his funeral........I raised a glass to him while listening to this old traditional tune ....."The Parting Glass".

Rest in Peace, Mike.
