Loved the man! I know alot of you did too...Laughed a lot. Liked camping, photography, bowling, fishing, church, airplanes, model airplanes, drawing, cars, magazines, war history, music and eating. Took on leadership roles; President of local chapter of AFA, part of leadership roles for local chapter of radio remote controlled aircraft, served on church and daycare boards, filled almost every role in church at some point in life except member of the choir- thank goodness because he couldn't carry a tune. He gave back to community working soup kitch, meals on wheels, and taught citizen classes. He loved the flag and June 14th was a day we celebrated in our house.

For fun we would watch air planes take off at north east Philadelphia or picnic down by the river. He would always be up to trying something new and was good as a travel companion if you could tolerate his resounding snoring. His voice naturally projected which made him a great speaker; a gift I think he gave all his kids. All his kids loved him and I know I heard on more than one occasion 'I wish I had a dad like yours.' I'm glad God let me be his kid.
