Robert and I were friends for 27 years and had a falling out last August. He had been feeling well for some time. I am shocked and saddened at this news. My heart goes out to his family.
May he rest in peace. Ellen Katz

I bowled with Bob at the Pennypack Seniors League. He was always the best dressed and loved to talk politics. He helped me get through the last election with his great knowledge of all the news commentators. He kept me up to date on all the latest breaking news. He was a great person and will be truly missed. My heart goes out to his family and close friends. May he rest in peace.

"Maggie" and I became friends in elementary school. His nickname comes from the "Maggie & Jiggs" restaurant on the way to the shore 60+ years ago.Other friends are Michael MIller, "The Cow",Michael Meyerstein, "The Bug", and Robert Lear, simply the class clown always smiling.
We worked togeher on the 50th NEHS class reunion. At a meeting at my home, I introduced him to my wife, Maggie II, and told him he would always be Maggie I to me.
He laughed out loud.
So, my dear friend, until one day we may laugh together again, a very sad Good Bye.

We met Bob a few years ago through my brother George, who passed away recently as well. They were close friends, who both had a great love and knowledge of baseball, and other other pop culture pastimes. The two of them could go for hours, topping one another with stories and bits of trivia. Bob had many friends in our Pennypack Seniors Bowling League, who will miss his kindness and humor. Our prayers and good thoughts go out to Bob's family and friends. He truly was a "good man".
