Loss of Todd was a loss of very a fine man. It has taken me this long to add my memories. I was slow to learn of his death as I was out of the loop living close to the Canadian border. I was a bit older but remember Todd as a very respected member of Delta Theta Sigma Fraternity. He was kind, thoughtful, engaging and dedicated to the cause of any group that he was part of. I was truly saddened by his loss. Blessed be his memory.

My condolences to all of you who have shared lovingly in Todd Bachman's life. I don't know any of you personally, but can relate to his story as my father also died suddenly and tragically. Your family closeness is also shared by our family. Words cannot express the pain felt after such a great loss. Your family will be in my prayers. As difficult as it to understand, we are told that God is intimately aware and in control. In this confusing and difficult time, I grant you God's peace that surpasses all understanding. May you be comforted in the days ahead. Sincerely, Jill Lacher

I am so sorry to hear of such an unexpected and tremendous loss. I also just unexpectedly lost my sister and know what you must be going through during this time. I remember he was always such a wonderful person when I used to work there. I pray that you will find the strength to move forward keeping him in your hearts and the wonderful memories you shared. Someone told me to keep my eyes on the stars in the night sky and to think of them as porch lights waiting to welcome your loved one home. So everytime you watch the stars think of him waving back letting you know he is happy and will always be watching over you.

I am sorry to be so late with my sympathies. I was in Minnesota on a vacation for three weeks. The tragedy occured on my second day there. I always felt that the Lord moves in mysterious ways. I just happened to be in the right place at the right time to be there for my daughter who has been devastated with this loss. Cherie, my daughter, had been a part of the Bachman family for many years. Barbara, she always spoke of your kindness and the loving family. I always felt that her position as Todd's assistant was a blessing. She kept me informed each day on your progress. I also felt the Bachman's were extended family.
I know this is not going to be easy for you and the family, but with strong faith and belief you will feel his arms around you.
Have faith that the Lord is there for you and will see you through this.
God Bless you and your family and keep the faith.

I went have known Mary Lou ever since elementary school and lived only a few blocks from their home in Richfield. I just saw Mary Lou at our class reunion a few weeks ago and spoke with her a good part of the evening. I was at the wake today and the turnout should bring you comforting thoughts of how many people Todd, and your entire family, have touched. My thoughts and prayers are with Mary Lou and your entire family as you deal with this untimely tragedy.

Dear Lloyd, Barbara and family: I was a classmate of Todd at the U of MN. He was a great friend and was a leader in the Horticulture Club. I have many wonderful memories of all the activities we were involved in. After graduation I didn't see him often, but always looked forward to speaking to him when I did. I thank God that I had the chance to visit with him at Don White's retirement reception in January. You all have been in my thoughts and prayers constantly since I heard the terrible news. I especially pray for your complete healing, Barb, since your family will need you so much. May you all be able to find God's blessings as you move forward in life. Love, Bonnie (Olesiak) Dinehart

As a former Plymouth Bachman's employee, I am deeply saddened by the passing of Todd Bachman. I feel a certain connection to the entire Bachmans family having worked there for many years. I have found myself reading through the many entries of sympathy and memories on the Bachman's website over the past couple weeks and it's comforting to know that so many people in the world knew what all of us employee's knew. Todd was a great man, respected by all and will be forever missed. Thinking of you in heart and prayer over the next couple difficult days.

To Barbara & Bachman Family,
I hope you know how much your husband meant to everyone. I worked at a small Bachmans when I was 19 in St. Paul, I loved working there with flowers and using them as expressions of love. What a wonderful company to work for and Todd was truly behind the company that it has become. Your great family is truly the result of his everlasting love. Just remember all the wonderful times you have shared, and forgot the way he passed on. He will always be around your family and watch over all of you.

Blessings are sometimes hard to find.
They elude us often, escape the mind.
We grasp at things we see and hear.
Often ignoring what is even more dear.
Blessings are muddled in pain and sorrow.
But blessings are what make us reach for tomorrow.
Barbara,
I do not know you but I wrote this for you because you trully are a blessing. I grieve for you and your family and the pain you are enduring. I also celebrate the blessing of your life being spared so you may continue as a person of value to this often cruel and non-sensical world. Know how much you are loved even by those you have never met. Your husband and his legacy are immense...all the joy just one single flower sold and given in love is immeasurable. Thank you for giving so much. I admire you immensely!
Todd.....know how much you meant to the MPLS. community and the impact you made great or small. All was good. Be assured that Barbara will be well taken care of by all of her family, friends and neighbors far and wide.
Bachman family....my prayers are with you.

My sincere condolences in your loss and best wishes for a speedy recovery for Barbara.
I grew up in South Minneapolis and the Bachman family was a part of our lives, whether or not you knew the Bachman's personally. This attack is felt personally by everyone whom Bachman's has touched, especially those of us living in the shadows of the greenhouses, stores and lilac trucks.
Our shock and sorrow is real. Our gratitude to the Bachman family for years of joy, even in times of sorrow, is real. Our sincere wishes for the healing of this family is also very real.

I was fortunate to meet and know Todd and Barbara through my work at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum. Their generosity and kindness of spirit was what always struck me most about both of them. Dear Bachman family and employees,
Please accept sincere condolences from our family. As Wisconsin residents with a daughter and son-in-law in the Minneapolis area for over a decade now, we regularly depended on the Bachman's floral business for all sorts of occasions. We were never disappointed in the level of creativityand the beauty of their product. Standard of service was always extraodinary. Employees were consistantly informed, professional, helpful, and delightlfully friendly.
I mention this to illustrate a point that was made by us so many times. And that is that it was our belief that the owners must surely have hired very carefully, trained earnestly, and lead wisely for such unfailing excellance. And we were always so very grateful for that dedication.
Even from afar we share your grief. It must be profound.
