I met Marty while stationed @ the Navy hospital in Portsmouth, VA. Marty was a great physical therapist and was a very funny, humorous person. Both Marty and Pat had great influence on me continuing my education and becoming a physical therapist. I feel blessed that he was part of my life for a few years; he will be greatly missed!

They met in Oct. '74 while stationed at Portsmouth Naval Hosp. A yr. later, the guy w/ the weird name & the girl w/ the skinny legs began an 18-yr. ride together. They built a house, a family & a PT practice. Marty lives on in his sons: handsome, smart, kind & hard workers. As the Navy expression goes "fair winds & following seas." R.I.P. Pat

To the Boytek Family, I am so very sorry to learn of your loss. Mr. Boytek (Marty) and I knew him was a wonderful physical therapist and a very kind person. He was the driving force that helped me learn to walk again after a car accident injury in 1991. I remember his jovial temperament and always smiling face as he would tell me to push through the pain. I honestly believe had it not been for his persistence I would not be walking today. He truly had a gift for encouraging people and a compassion for helping those in need. I know he will be sorely missed by all those who were closest to him but I know he is with our Lord today and you will rejoice with him again.

I had the pleasure of working with Marty at CPTS. Marty fostered a family like atmosphere in his clinic and enjoyed doing all he could to help his patients, staff, and friends. He loved life and loved having fun with his family and friends. Josh and Patrick -- you two meant the world to him! He was always so proud of his sons. My prayers are with his family. I never had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Boytek. I am however a very good friend of Josh. If his son is any indication of the man Martin was (which is the hope for every parent) then I know he was not only a great person and friend but a caring and giving one. Josh I know will carry on the family name with great pride. To the entire Boytek family my sincere condolences. Scott Viera

Marty and I met while serving on the pta at john tyler elem. he was our treasurer and such a great inspiration to all of us. I was transferred to another city and when I came back after 15yrs, I had the opportunity of connecting with him. He offered to help my daughter see if she wanted to pursue a career in physical therapy. it was like I was never gone all those years. we just picked up the friendship where we left off. What a terrific guy, may he rest in peace and
may his family know how many lives he truly blessed.

My Dad loved the church, youth group, scout troop, softball team, his patients and staff, and his family.
He was the funniest guy I have ever known...
All of you so far, I recognize your names, and mostly remember. My dad lived for others and I'm really glad that you knew him.
He lived for others, to spread joy, hope and trust in god, fun, to help out, to help with rehab, to give a place to live...that's what he did later in life at the river house: he'd have people down on their luck come stay there for free.
If he could pass something on maybe it would be "use it or lose it", "trust in The Lord with all of your heart, lean not on your own understanding."
He lived for getting people together. I hope you were one of them and that you enjoyed my dad as much as he enjoyed your company. Alot of you became legends in our house.
Feel free to email me or fb or call: my # is 757-818-0262. We have alot of pictures and stuff.

We knew Marty and his family from Emmaus around the mid 70's. He was one of the most generous people I knew. I remember when he use to invite the church over on Sunday nights (without telling Pat). Just as he opened his home, he opened his heart. I worked for him a short time and was impressed with his interaction with his patients. R.I.P. Marty. My prayers are with Josh, Patrick, and the rest of the family.

Everyone that knew Marty knew he had a loving heart, a warm smile, and would do anything for you. I have known him most of my life, and we spent many of days with a lot of projects. Most never got done, but had fun trying. He was an inspiration to me a father figure, a brother in Christ, and will be missed greatly. He was my best man in my wedding he traveled 400 miles to a farm. We had a blast. Marty love ya man. Till we meet again.

Marty also left an imprint on my life. He was youth leader at my church through all my teen years; I will always remember his fun-loving personality, his quick smile and kind eyes. Sometimes he was as much a kid as the rest of us! He never hesitated to show his heart that loved God. He (and Pat) were kind enough to give me my first job, working at CPT in the early days. Josh and Patrick, (I am also one of your former babysitters) I can only imagine he was a wonderful father -- I offer my condolences to you and the family for your loss.

Marty and his family were so good to me in my teen and young adult years. I enjoyed youth group activities and even babysat Josh and Patrick from time to time. I was one of the first, if not the first, employees of CPTS. I'll always remember Marty's laugh. Josh and Patrick, you are in my prayers.
