Dear Lisa and family,
I was so shocked to hear of Bobby's sudden passing.
My heart goes out to you all.
Know that he is truly at home now and at peace.

Cindy, I was so shocked of Bobby's passing. He was such a good-hearted and friendly person, always willing to help anyone. Every time I saw him he had a smile on his face. I always enjoyed setting up near you at a lot of shows. The last time I saw him was when you were at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel. I know you will miss him deeply. My prayers are with you and your family. I hope to see you soon.

Make a joyful noise unto the Lord! That is the Bobby I know from 2nd grade - high school!! Lisa & Sandy, I'm not going to say I'm sorry because he accepted the call as a childhood friend, the US Navy, the Newport News Police Department, the UPS Delivery service, all sorts of other callings & now, the call of Jesus Christ to come home.

Knowing Jesus & Bobby, there is a wonderful reunion happening in heaven! My house was "rocking" during a thunder storm Sunday evening~~Bobby was dancing!!! Just like he did at Willard on Friday nights.

Please, rejoice for Bobby; cry for yourselves & your empty feeling that he is no longer on earth; laugh at "the good, the bad & the ugly" memories. Bobby was full of love, laughter & pranks~~he lived in Fairmount Park!!!

My love to all of the family.

In memory of my brother-in-law Robert Ellis (aka: Bobby)

I was deeply saddened to hear about the loss of Bobby, and it has torn me from inside out. I will never forget the day when I got to meet him in person the first time, his personality had such a gravitational pull that instantly I was drawn towards him and our time spent together seemed like we had known each other a lifetime. He was one of the greatest human being that I laid my eyes upon and I am so glad that he was my brother-in law. He was such a kind, gentle soul and would do anything to help someone in need. I cannot escape the thought when we sat together on his patio and talked about certain key-points of his life and mine. The guy was a myth and his actions and deeds spoke for it. I am so honored and impressed by his accomplishments: He served his country by being in US Navy, he served humanity by being in the Virginia police force department and as I write this my tears run dry as by remember his sensitivity towards family values, morals, etiquette and his strength. I have great respect, admiration and appreciation for him. Like it has been said:
“When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure.”

I will forever hold & cherish this treasure and try to follow his footsteps by becoming a compassionate, loyal and caring human being.
May God bless his soul and grant him a piece of paradise. Indeed my brother-in- law Mr. Robert Ellis will be missed whom I loved dearly and looked up to. One of the only closest gift he left for me behind is my wife Lisa Ellis, who I love beyond words.

My prayers are/shall/will always remain:

“Death ends a life, not a relationship.”

“Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal.”

And this is for all the people who knew him:

“Although it's difficult today to see beyond the sorrow,
May looking back in memory help comfort you tomorrow.”

Lisa and family, you are in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Bobby was such a kind and caring friend. He always had a kind word, and was always willing to help anyone. He was a friend to so many, and he will be greatly missed. Love you all.
