Mom, I have been missing you for a while now due to the ravages of your mind from Alzheimer's. The emotions are very mixed; glad you are freed from this disease and rejoicing in heaven with our Lord, Jesus Christ, but sad that until I join you I can't wrap my arms around you. You were the best Mom in the world. You taught me how to live a good life, loved me and corrected me with love. Thanks for being there for me all my life.

I love you mommy

By Lydia Miller

My mother is happy in heaven right now but I'm crying
my mothers sipping heavenly wine with Jesus
say I'm so happy for her right now
but inside I'm so sad for myself

I wish I lived around the corner from her,
wish I could take her to her hair appointment, cook her dinnerrrrr
Play a game of rummy with Her and lose so bad she laughssss
Take her to church to fill her soul with her beloved Jesus

I know I'll see her again someday
I hope she's rich and having fun right now
Like everyone else I live my life knowing any second I could die
and then my daughters and sons will be singing this the same old song and cry
like I'm crying right now

You know it's going to be alright and We won't find out till We die
