I had the blessed opportunity to meet Ray Bradbury, invited by the Librarian at the Pasadena Public Library, to attend Mr. Bradbury's 90th Birthday Celebration last year. It was more than a Blessed event, and I feel really fortunate to have met this splendid human being, whose DANDELION WINE I still read with pleasure since it helps to guide me farther up the path on the "The Yellow Brick Road" toward becoming a better essayist and poet. He will be greatly missed but his Spirit
lives in all of us who continue to create words that sing in all that we attempt to create.
BON VOYAGE, dear friend and "mentor" -
may your journey "Over the Rainbow" be blissful
with happy people to greet you, upon your arrival. You will be sorely missed. Thank you for being our guide and friend. We'll miss you.
